VALUATION INDICATORS OF THE CONTRIBUTION TO SUSTAINABILITY OF THE MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS AND HUMAN MOBILITY (MREMH) OF ECUADOR

The worldwide necessity of development from current generations, without any harm to the coming generations, is a matter of great importance, which the United Nations and the different national governments consider carefully. In this context, foreign affairs ministries have a highly social responsibility towards the accomplishment of sustainable development objectives, the achievement of building safer and more resilient human settlements, the reduction of the economic inequality among countries, the reduction of poverty and the construction of a more inclusive and equitable society. The objective of this paper is to identify value-based indicators of the contribution from Ecuadorian Foreign Affairs Ministry and Human Mobility (MREMH) to the sustainable development, as well as the proposal of an integral index. The tools used in this analysis were the work with experts, the Kendall´s method and the Fuller´s triangle. 23 value-based indicators were identified and were integrally assessed through the index of Integral Contribution to Sustainability (Icis). These indicators will be used as a useful monitoring tool and improvement.
