This study evaluated the integration of Big Data and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in higher education to improve educational quality and promote the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) at the Universidad Laica Eloy Alfaro de Manabí (ULEAM) - Pedernales Extension. A mixed-methods approach was used with a non-experimental, cross-sectional, and descriptive-correlational design, applying surveys to 65 individuals, including students and administrative staff. The results show that 43.7% of respondents rated connectivity as good, while 34.1% considered the technological equipment insufficient. Additionally, 40.5% of teachers have good technological skills, but 28.8% consider them inadequate. A positive correlation (0.976) was found between technological infrastructure and the adoption of digital tools, highlighting that 40.3% of respondents believe that AI and Big Data will significantly improve education. As a result, a strategic plan was designed based on three pillars: technological infrastructure, teacher training, and pilot projects. It is concluded that the implementation of Big Data and AI enhances education by personalizing learning, optimizing academic management, and strengthening institutional sustainability.
