Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS) is one of the most common musculoskeletal disorders among healthcare professionals, mainly due to repetitive movements and inadequate postures. The objective of this study was to determine the prevalence of CTS among healthcare personnel at the José María Velasco Ibarra Hospital, identifying associated risk factors. A descriptive and cross-sectional study was conducted with the participation of 74 healthcare professionals. Structured surveys and clinical tests were applied to detect CTS. The results showed that 19.8% of the participants presented symptoms consistent with CTS, with a higher prevalence among women (81%) and in the 31-40 age group. Additionally, a relationship was observed between work seniority and the presence of the pathology, with workers with longer tenure being the most affected. It is concluded that CTS represents a significant issue in the hospital environment, and preventive strategies such as ergonomic improvements and occupational health training programs are recommended to reduce the incidence of this pathology.
