CITIZEN PARTICIPATION AS AN INSTRUMENT OF TRANSPARENCY IN THE FORMULATION OF PUBLIC POLICIES

The main objective of the research is to identify the contribution of citizen participation as an instrument of transparency in the formulation of public policies. For this purpose, a documentary research was carried out, in which a theoretical saturation on the thematic axes of the research was carried out, focusing attention on those dimensions that highlight transparency as the driving force of public management, and in which citizen participation represents the ideal instrument for the development of the debate and the generation of proposals that culminate in viable public policies with a sense of a tangible reality. Among the conclusions, the fact of being able to count on the will of the State and of the citizens themselves for the exercise of social control stands out.
