Teaching experimental sciences in secondary and higher education faces various challenges, such as conceptual complexity, the need for hands-on experimentation, and lack of access to adequate laboratories. In this context, educational technologies have emerged as innovative tools to enhance learning. This review article analyzes two key approaches: the integration of virtual laboratories and interactive simulations, and the application of artificial intelligence and adaptive learning in science teaching. Virtual laboratories and interactive simulations have proven effective in improving conceptual understanding and fostering experiment-based learning, allowing students to visualize complex phenomena and carry out practices without physical or economic limitations. For their part, artificial intelligence and adaptive learning offer personalized teaching experiences, optimizing learning processes by collecting and analyzing data to adjust content to the individual needs of each student. While these technologies present multiple benefits, their implementation also faces challenges, such as the digital divide, teacher training, and data protection. However, their proper use can transform the teaching of experimental sciences, promoting more accessible, interactive, and effective education. This article highlights the importance of integrating these innovations into the educational field to improve scientific training and prepare students for the challenges of the future.
