HUMAN RIGHTS: A HISTORICAL AND PHILOSOPHICAL CONSTRUCTION

The project focuses on Human Rights: A Historical and Philosophical Construction. The main objective of this study was to analyze the evolution of human rights from a historical and philosophical perspective, highlighting how these notions have been shaped by social, political, and cultural contexts over time. The methodology used includes an exhaustive bibliographic review of fundamental texts, historical documents and philosophical theories that have influenced the conception of human rights. Among the most significant findings is the identification of key milestones in history, such as the Declaration of the Rights of Man and of the Citizen of 1789 and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights of 1948, which reflect an advance in the understanding and recognition of human dignity. In addition, the influence of thinkers such as John Locke, Jean-Jacques Rousseau and Karl Marx was observed, whose ideas have contributed to the construction of theories on freedom, equality and justice. The results indicate that, despite progress, human rights continue to face significant challenges in their implementation and respect at the global level. The conclusion of the study underlines the importance of continuing to promote education and awareness about human rights, as well as the need for a critical approach that takes into account contemporary realities. The innovation of this work lies in offering an integrative perspective that links history and philosophy, providing a comprehensive framework for understanding human rights as a dynamic and constantly evolving process.
