KEYS TO EFFECTIVE LEARNING: THE IMPORTANCE OF TEACHING MATERIALS IN EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION

Teaching materials allow to enrich the teaching-learning process. The present research focused on improving the quality of education at the initial level through the development of teaching materials together with the students of the third semester of the Early Childhood Education degree at the Universidad Laica Eloy Alfaro de Manabí. The students were involved in this project to create innovative teaching materials for five institutions in the Pedernales canton. The methodological process followed to develop these teaching materials was established from the curricular planning of the syllabus from the chair "Workshop of teaching materials for Early Childhood Education". Through practical activities, teaching materials were developed in the academic period 2024-1, from May 6 to July 26 of this year. Based on in-depth research into the educational needs of children, a variety of teaching resources were designed and developed. These materials, the result of the creativity and commitment of future teachers, significantly enrich the teaching-learning process in the institution, responding to the demand for more varied and relevant pedagogical tools. This initiative arose in response to the lack of adequate pedagogical resources for the teaching and learning of children in Early Childhood Education in these institutions.
