Abstract

The present research addresses the implementation of virtual simulators as a teaching strategy to improve the learning of Physics in students of the Unified General Baccalaureate of the Ciudad de Pedernales Private Educational Unit, in Manabí. The main objective was to evaluate how the use of simulators impacts the understanding of physical concepts. A mixed research approach was adopted, collecting qualitative data through interviews with Physics teachers and quantitative data through surveys administered to first-year high school students. The surveys, structured with 10 questions distributed between the dependent and independent variables, were rated using the Likert scale. In addition, a Pre-test and Post-test were carried out to evaluate the impact of the simulators on academic performance. The results showed a significant increase in the Post-test scores compared to the Pre-test, which allowed us to conclude that the implementation of virtual simulators is an effective strategy to improve the learning of Physics in high school students.
