INSTITUTIONAL GOVERNANCE IN DECENTRALIZED AUTONOMOUS GOVERNMENTS

Decentralized Autonomous Governments (GAD's) are decentralized institutions that benefit from political, administrative and financial autonomy centered on the principles of solidarity, subsidiarity, equity, inter-territorial, integration and citizen participation. This paper analyzes institutional governance from the perspectives of decentralized autonomous governments in Ecuador. The research approach is empirical analytical, also known as quantitative, the design used is bibliographic, being of documentary type, with an exploratory, descriptive and transversal level, the technique used for the collection of documentary information was the review of documents and electronic sources; the analysis technique used was the content analysis; the conclusions reflect that the Provincial GAD, can give correct answers to problems and emerging situations working together with the business sector and the civil society. Likewise, there is democratic consensus in the decision-making processes: participation is one of the tools on which the Provincial GAD relies, which leads to good governance, allowing citizens to get involved in decision making according to their reality.
