From an economic perspective, socioeconomic development reflects the improvement of economic indicators and prosperity of a society. However, it doesn't stop there; It also covers social aspects, such as the well-being, equity and quality of life of the population. The demographic dimension and human capital come into play when considering population dynamics and its relationship with the socioeconomic structure of a society. Furthermore, socioeconomic development pays special attention to the environmental environment, recognizing the importance of sustainability and environmental preservation as crucial elements in achieving genuinely sustainable development. This review compiles diverse perspectives on the local development paradigm for entrepreneurship and human capital sustainability.
