MODEL OF THE NEW SCHOOL IN THE MANAGEMENT OF TEACHING - LEARNING, LINKED TO CHILDHOOD EDUCATION

The new school is an alternative pedagogical model that aims to place the student at the center of education, becoming the protagonist of the didactic process. The study was framed in determining the incidence in the application of the didactic material and the didactic strategies of the pedagogical model of the New School in the integral development of children between 3 to 4 years of age in rural sectors of Pujilí (2), Latacunga (5) and Salcedo (2) cantons. The proposed methodology was with a qualitative approach, the methods used were inductive and analytical-synthetic; it was carried out under bibliographical-documentary research, exploratory and field type; The techniques used were observation with the checklist applied to 90 children from the sectors involved in the linkage project, under 3 assessment scales: Start (S), in process (IP) and approved (A), and the interview with a guide of open questions applied to neighborhood presidents and parents to measure the level of satisfaction of the intervention process of our students in the mentioned sectors. The main results were: in the cognitive area 50% is in domain process; in the area of language development, 62% are approved; in the motor area, 72% of children reach the approved level in their body dominance; and in the socio-emotional area, 63% of children dominance this area, after putting playful activities into practice, and the use of didactic material according to the identified difficulties in each context; Positive results are appreciated in children, according to what was stated by the parents of the participants in the linkage project of the Pujilí Extension Initial Education career of the Technical University of Cotopaxi.
