STATE FINANCING AND ITS CONTRIBUTION TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF FINANCIAL CULTURE IN RURAL AREAS

Abstract

The development of financial literacy in rural areas has advanced thanks to state funding, but a major problem has arisen that requires further study. To further strengthen financial literacy and maximize socioeconomic benefits in these communities, it is necessary to research and design long-term, customized strategies that are best suited to the specific characteristics of each rural area. In this sense, the objective of the study is to examine how state financing has shaped the financial culture in these regions and how it has affected the way in which rural residents make economic decisions. For this, a mixed approach methodology was used, which consists of both an analysis of quantitative data collected from surveys of rural residents and a review of the state of the art. The findings showed that by providing access to banking services and financial education programs, state funding has played a crucial role in fostering financial education in rural communities. Because of this, people in rural areas are now more aware of the value of saving, investing, and managing their money responsibly, which has a positive effect on their ability to make sound financial decisions. The main findings indicate that state financing has been an important factor in improving financial education in rural areas, and it is recommended to implement more individualized and lasting policies to continue promoting social and economic development in these regions.
