EFFECTIVENESS OF DRUGS IN THE CONTROL OF IXODEA IN DOGS

The present study was carried out with the objective of knowing the effectiveness of the drugs and which of these is most recommended by the veterinarians for the control of ixodea in dogs, the study was carried out in the city of Calceta, Cantón Bolívar in collaboration with the Clínica Veterinary, the research was descriptive and the technique used was the survey presenting in results that there are different types of drugs used by veterinarians, of which Nexgard, Simparica, Bravecto, Adventix stand out in accordance with Amitraz, Cypermethrin. Amitraz and Cypermethrin are also used as tick-killing baths, but they are not very efficient because the environment where they live is not disinfected. According to the results obtained, the most effective drug is Nexgard for the control and treatment of ixodea, but with a non-optimal duration.
