Abstract

To promote the development of responsible tourism in the face of the challenges of coping with the impacts associated with Climate Change and Covid-19. The bibliographic and documentary review allowed the construction of the theoretical and methodological reference framework for this study. The comparative, descriptive-explanatory methods favored establishing comparisons between different positions of authors, as well as defining the criteria assumed by the author when throughout the investigative process. Causal analysis to support the relationships between the research variables. The matrix method and the cartographic method to model the impacts of Climate Change. Observation, interviews and surveys to find out the level of risk perception and update the diagnosis. The foundation of elements that from the strategic approach of the management allow to establish the articulation of actions for the development of responsible tourism in the face of the challenges that represent the confrontation of the impacts associated with Climate Change and Covid-19. Climate change and Covid-19 constitute challenges for the development of responsible tourism that implies a change and reorientation for tourism. From these perspectives, the elements exposed from the strategic risk management approach can serve as tools for the development of responsible tourism.
